CAF Confed Cup: We Will Surely Beat Salitas FC In Burkina Faso To Qualify – Ashgold coach

Ashanti Gold SC assistant coach, Thomas Duah says the team will go to Burkina Faso to beat Salitas FC in order to book qualification to the next phase of the CAF Confederations Cup.

At the preliminary stage of the 2020/2021 CAF Confederations Cup competition, the Ghanaian giants have been drawn against the Burkinabe outfit.

In the first meeting of the two-legged tie on Sunday afternoon, Ashanti Gold SC failed to capitalize on home advantage as they drew goalless against Salitas FC at the end of the 90 minutes at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium.

Despite what looks like a setback, Ashgold assistant coach Thomas Duah says the team will get the needed result in the reverse fixture.

“There was no luck on our side yesterday that’s why we drew yesterday against Salitas FC but I can say we will surely qualify in Burkina Faso in the return leg. Though they are a good side their strength is their midfield though. We couldn't take our chances that's why we drew yesterday,” the coach said in an interview with Hot FM.

Coach Thomas Duah has assured all fans of Ashanti Gold SC that the team will surely win the reverse fixture in Burkina Faso.

“Football is about fans if fans were in the stadium the shouting can even help us to get at least a goal yesterday at the Len Clay stadium yesterday. We are assuring all Ashgold fans that it's 100% they will go to Burkina Faso against Salitas FC,” the gaffer added.
