Kumasi Asante Kotoko has safely arrived in Ghana following the team’s 1-1 draw against FC Nouadhibou in the first leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary stage tie.

Nicknamed the Porcupine Warriors club, the record Ghana Premier League champions are determined to excel in the 2020/2021 edition of the CAF top-tier inter-club competition.

Drawn against FC Nouadhibou in the preliminary stage of the competition, the team honoured the first meeting of the date on Sunday afternoon when they played as a guest to the Mauritania champions.

At the end of a very good encounter, both teams shared the spoils on the back of a 1-1 draw.

Keen on winning the reverse fixture to earn progression to the next phase of the CAF Champions League, the Asante Kotoko team has today returned to Ghana to commence extensive preparation for the fixture.

The meeting is set to be played at the Accra Sports Stadium and will come off next weekend.
