Karela United displayed impressive resilience on Sunday afternoon as the team came from behind to defeat Dreams FC 2-1 in the Ghana Premier League.

With the 2020/2021 edition of the Ghanaian top-flight league gradually taking shape, the Anyinase-based club today hosted the side from Dawu for an encounter on Matchday 3.

Following a very good start to the match by Dreams FC, the team deservedly took the lead after 37 minutes of play when talisman Joseph Esso fired in an effort from close range while under pressure.

Three minutes later, Karela United went on the attack with urgency and succeeded in instantly recovering from the goal they had conceded.

Attacker Frankly Osei got into a good position and scored to ensure the home team went into the break on level terms.

Emerging as the better side in the second half, Karela United cruised to a 2-1 win courtesy of a second goal scored by Franklyn Osei in the 65th minute.

As a result of today’s victory, the Anyinase-based club now sits top of the Ghana Premier League standings with 7 points.
