Ahead of the friendly matches between the Ghana female U-20 team and their counterpart from Morocco, Coach Yusif Basigi says his side is ready to host the opponent.

Nicknamed the Black Princesses, the team was recently recalled to camp to prepare for the scheduled friendlies against the Moroccan opponent.

Ahead of the first meeting at the Accra Sports Stadium tomorrow, Coach Yusif Basigi says although his players returned to camp a bit out of shape, they have been able to work hard to get the team back on track.

‘’We arrived here at the GFA Technical Centre few days ago just to prepare for the match against Morocco. The players were not rusty upon their return but our philosophy was a bit forgotten so we had to put them back on track which off course they are doing well so far as our system of play is concerned,” the Black Princesses coach said in an interview with the Ghana FA Communications team.

Meanwhile, the gaffer says he hopes the friendly matches with the Moroccan side will open doors for more international games to be played in Ghana.

‘‘I can’t remember the last time we hosted an international friendly here. Their coming is a welcoming news for us to see how women football is developing on the African continent.

‘‘We normally go out there to play but I believe this friendly will attract other countries to also play with us here in Ghana. I just hope we will have a good game,” the coach noted.

The second tie between the Ghana female U-20 team and the Moroccan counterpart will be played on Monday, November 30, 2020.
