Berekum Chelsea Chief Executive Officer [CEO], Nana Oduro Sarfo has resigned from his post.
The Ghana FA Executive Council Member decision comes after his controversial interview on Accra based Angel FM.
The interview turned soar when he was asked why the Berekum Golden City Park pitch has not been given the much-needed attention.
Oduro Sarfo during the interview shockingly said he prioritizes watching Nigerian movies instead of discussing relevant issues related to the state of the Golden City Park.
“Some of the players even play on grassless pitches so what are you talking about? Nobody has asked you to call me.
"I’m watching Nigerian movie and that is more precious to me at this point. We have finished playing the game and I don’t care about anything anymore. If you don’t understand go and ‘collect’ the three points from us,” he told Accra-based Angel FM.
The club later issued a statement to distance itself from the comments made by their former CEO.
However, Oduro Sarfo on Wednesday has tendered in his resignation stating personal reasons.
He has worked with the Blues since 2011.
