Retired referee G.K Manu has advised coaches and club officials fond of complaining about officiating to put a stop to it and rather learn the rules of the game.

After just two Matchdays into the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season, there have been complaints from some coaches who appear rather disappointed in the work of referees.

Among them is Asante Kotoko head coach Maxwell Konadu, as well as Ebusua Dwarfs gaffer Ernest Thompson.

Speaking to Otec FM on the criticizing of referees, Retired referee G.K Manu says all those complainings has no case because referees have been on top of their game this season.

“Those complaining about officiating should learn the rules of the game. Journalists should put the coaches on their toes to up their game,” the retired referee said.

G.K Manu continued, “The referees have performed very well after the two (2) games. We (referees) will accept our mistakes when we are at fault. We will perform better if we are protected like the Europeans.”

Meanwhile, Coach Maxwell Konadu has been referred to the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana FA for comments for made against Referee Daniel Laryea after Kotoko’s draw against Berekum Chelsea last Sunday.
