Great Olympics Coach Annor Walker Backs Gladson Awako For Black Stars Call-Up

The head coach for Great Olympics, Annor Walker is backing talisman Gladson Awako to be invited to the Black Stars following his outstanding performances in the Ghana Premier League.

The experienced attacker has been the livewire for the Accra-based club since he joined last season.

Two matches into the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season, Gladson Awako has continued his excellent form and dazzled for Great Olympic last Friday when the team defeated Legon Cities FC 3-0.

In a post-match interview, his coach Annor Walker says his wish is to see him playing for the Black Stars.

“He is a fantastic player for me seriously. That’s my wish for him [To get a call-up to the Black Stars].

“Even if not Black Stars I wish Awako goes back to play professionally. But he has to help me before he leaves (laughs),” Coach Annor Walker said after the Legon Cities win.

Gladson Awako, 29, has started the new season on a high and is currently one of the best performers. He will be key for Great Olympics throughout the campaign.
