The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Berekum Chelsea, Nana Oduro Sarfo has asked critics of the poor state of the team’s pitch to shut up as he stresses that local players usually play on ‘Sakora Pitch’ [Pitch without grass].

On Sunday afternoon, fans who watched the Ghana Premier League match between Berekum Chelsea and Asante Kotoko on StarTimes were stunned by the deteriorated state of the pitch.

The playing field which was green to the core at the time the Club Licensing Board approved the venue has now dried up with parts of the pitch almost without grass.

With many speaking against the state of the Berekum Chelsea pitch after the match, club CEO Nana Oduro Sarfo has taken a rather antagonistic stands, refusing to accept the fault of the club.

In an interview with Angel 102.9FM on Monday night, the football administrator noted that all those complaining about the pitch of the team can go to hell.

“To hell with those complaining about the nature of the pitch at Berekum Golden City Park. Besides players usually play Sakora Pitch. No one has given us money so the complaints must stop.

"We will continue to play on that pitch,” the Berekum Chelsea CEO who is a member of the GFA Exco shared.
