Accra Great Olympics made a strong statement to the other clubs in the Ghana Premier League last Friday when the team posted an emphatic 3-0 win against Legon Cities FC.
On Matchday 1 of the 20/21 Ghana Premier League season, the Blue and White lads earned a vital point on the road when they traveled to Tarkwa to take on title contenders Medeama SC.
With the result surprising many, Great Olympics followed it up with an impressive performance on Matchday 2.
In what was a home game against Legon Cities FC, the club bagged all 3 points after goals from Gladson Awako, Maxwell Nii Abbey Quaye and Ashie-Quaye powered the side to a resounding win.
The victory has for the first time in a very long time, seen Great Olympics sitting top of the Ghana Premier League standings.
