Ghana football legend, Asamoah Gyan trained with his new club Legon Cities for the first time on Tuesday, November 3 at Pantang.

Gyan, who is Ghana's all-time leading goal scorer last played in the local league with Liberty Professionals 17 years ago when he scored 10 goals in 16 games before departing to play for Udinese in 2003.

Legon Cities and Gyan host Berekum Chelsea at the Accra Sports Stadium on matchday one of the new Ghana Premier League season.

He is Africa's highest scorer at the World Cup.

In his time away, he also played for French outfit Stade Rennais, Sunderland in the Premier League, Al Ain and Al Ahli Dubai in the UAE, Shanghai SIPG in China, Turkish side Kayserispor and most recently NorthEast United in India.

Before joining Legon, he was highly linked to Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko for whom he holds a personal desire to line up before calling time on his professional career.
