Ghana striker, Jordan Ayew came off the bench for Crystal Palace in the loss against Wolves in the Premier League on Friday night.

Ayew was in isolation after contracting coronavirus after returning from international duty with Ghana about a fortnight ago.

The 28-year-old consequently missed the Eagles’ 1-1 draw against Brighton and Hove Albion at home as well as the 2-1 away victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage last weekend.

Ayew recovered in time for the 2-0 defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Selhurst Park on Friday.

The striker came on the 72nd minute for Andros Townsend but couldn’t do anything to cancel Ati Nouri and Podence’s first-half goals for Wolves who have now moved up to third on the log.

He has been named by C.K Akonnor as part of the Ghana squad that will face Sudan in the doubleheader of 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
