Ghanaian top-flight side, Karela United have sealed the signing of midfielder Umar Bashiru to bolster their squad for the upcoming football season.
The club in the 2019/2020 football season struggled in the Ghana Premier League where they only won 2 matches from 15 games before the campaign was suspended and canceled as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
To ensure they turn things around in the 2020/2021 season, Karela United has this week been on a signing spree.
Following the acquisitions of as many as 4 players on Tuesday, the club has today announced that they have reached an agreement to sign former Asante Kotoko midfielder Umar Bashiru.
“We are delighted to welcome another midfield sensation Umar, formerly of Asante Kotoko to the home of 'Pride and Passion'... Enjoy your stay Umar”, a statement on the Twitter page of the Anyinase-based club has said.
Yesterday, Karela United signed the likes of Yaw Ansah, Obed Kofi Sam, Godfred Adotey, and Augustine Randolf.
