Ghanaian giant, Asante Kotoko has been held to a 2-2 draw by lower-tier side Krystal Palace FC in a pre-season friendly today at the All Nations University Park.

As part of preparations for the 2020/2021 football season, the Porcupine Warriors are in Koforidua in the Eastern Region for a second phase of pre-season training.

Following a win against Odweanoma FC last weekend, Asante Kotoko returned to action on Tuesday afternoon to face off with lower-division outfit Krystal Palace FC.

In a game where Coach Maxwell Konadu’s side was given a good run for their money, the team scored first after just 5 minutes of play in the first half.

Talented midfielder Adom Frimpong connected to a corner kick from full-back Imoro Ibrahim to give the Reds the lead.

Later in the 27th minute, striker Naby Keita scored from the spot to double the lead for Asante Kotoko.

Despite the momentum, the Porcupine Warriors club could not see out the game. The team first conceded in the 34th minute before Krystal Palace FC scored late in the second half to earn a 2-2 draw.
