The finals of the thrilling McDan Foundation Tennis Training Matches came off on Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
In the Men’s Singles, Johnson Acquah beat Benjamin Fumi 6-1, 6-4, while Naa Shika Mckorley lost 6-3, 6-3 to Mariama Ibrahim. The winners and runners up were presented with trophies and prizes.
The one week event was very interesting and exposed the next generation of Ghana’s tennis stars. They really proved that the nation abound in sports talents and the Mckorley sisters were a delight to watch, they are indeed the future stars to watch, and they must be encouraged.
The Juniors category (U12, U14 and U 16) starts from Monday, October 26, 2020, to Saturday, October 31, 2020, at the same venue.
