Former Hearts of Oak attacking midfielder, Charles Taylor has urged the management of the club to allow head coach Edward Nii Odoom to choose his preferred assistant coach.
The coach worked without an assistant in the 2019/2020 football season after he took over from Coach Kim Grant after Matchday 1 of the Premier League.
While the search for an assistant coach continues, many believe it should be done quickly in order for Coach Edward Nii Odoom to have the necessary support before the start of the new season.
Speaking to Hot FM today, Charles Taylor has waved into the conversation and has stresses why the gaffer should be allowed to pick an assistant coach of his choice.
“In Ghana here, most assistant coaches collapse teams in Ghana so I will advise Accra hearts of oak to allow coach Nii Odoom to appoint his own assistant coach to assist him”, the former player noted.
Charles Taylor added, “But to go in for foreigner as assistant coach will be something else”.
Meanwhile, the former attacking midfielder has backed Hearts of Oak to win the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League title.
