The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will engage the National Sports Authority (NSA) on the latest fees set to be charged the various clubs in the Premier League that have decided to use stadia owned by the government, President Kurt Okraku has revealed.

Ahead of the start of the 2020/2021 football season next month, the NSA has today announced that teams will be made to pay GHS20,000 and GHS15,000 respectively depending on the categories they fall under.

In a post on the Facebook page of Kurt Okraku, he has described the fees as exorbitant while noting that his GFA administration will engage the NSA over the fees.

“I have read in the public space a statement from the NSA on new stadia user facility charges. I will say this is unfortunate and our GFA will engage the NSA on this exorbitant and unacceptable fees…!!!!!!#bringbackthelove”, the GFA president posted on Tuesday.

According to the NSA, matches between Hearts and Kotoko and the National Teams are grouped under "Category A".

Matches between Hearts or Kotoko versus other Premier League clubs are grouped under 'Category B' and matches between other clubs excluding Hearts and Kotoko are grouped under "Category C".

In the upcoming season, Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko, Inter Allies, Great Olympics, and Legon cities FC have planned to use the Accra Sports Stadium as their home venue.

If nothing changes, they should be ready to pay the GHS20,000 and GHS15,000 depending on their matches.
