New Arsenal signing, Thomas Partey says he will work hard to put smile on the faces of the supporters of the club.

The Ghana international joined the Premier League on transfer deadline day from Atletico Madrid in a deal worth €50 million.

Speaking during his unveiling, the 27-year-old said, “I feel so happy, I already feel part of the family because the fans have received me, everybody is saying nice things about me and, you know, to be received like this is a great feeling,” Partey told Arsenal.com.

“This a great club, it is one of the biggest clubs in Europe and it is a club that deserves to be aspiring for greater things and I think it doesn’t happen in a day, we have to work hard to make sure we are back to where we belong.

“I want to make everyone feel happy,” he added.

Partey spent eight years at Atletico Madrid having joined them as a teenager in 2012.

He won the Europa League, Uefa Super Cup, and played in the 2016 Champions League final with Atletico.
