Black Stars head coach C.K Akonnor has assured that things will get better with the team and Ghanaians will start enjoying the team play in no time.
The former Hearts of Oak coach took charge of his first game as the head coach for the Ghana national team last Friday.
Unfortunately, the friendly match against the Eagles of Mali ended in defeat with the Black Stars losing 3-0.
Speaking in an interview with the Communications team of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Coach CK Akonnor says he has accepted the criticisms from Ghanaians after the defeat in good faith.
“I can understand their disappointment. I have read a bit of their comments and its disturbing but, nobody asked me to be a Coach, that is what we are made of. I have accepted the criticisms in good faith”, the coach said.
Meanwhile, Coach C.K Akonnor has expressed optimism in working to change things in the team and says Ghanaians will start enjoying seeing the Black Stars in action again.
“I am a Ghanaian and I want to go the Ghanaian way but things would change and we will enjoy watching the team again”, Coach Akonnor added.
Later this afternoon, Ghana will face off with Qatar in another friendly match. The game is scheduled to kick-off at 15:30:GMT and will be played at the Titanic sports stadium.
