The head coach for the Ghana male senior national team, C.K Akonnor has explained that his team lost the match against Mali because they were not organized.

The Black Stars were in action against the Eagles on Friday evening at the Emir Hotel Sports Complex in Antalya, Turkey, in an international friendly match.

At the end of an unimpressive performance from the Ghana team, Mali finished with a 3-0 win.

Speaking to Adom TV after suffering defeat in his first game in charge as the Black Stars coach, C.K Akonnor has cited the lack of organization on the part of his team as the cause.

“I won’t blame the players for the defeat but the key thing which resulted our loss to Mali was that the team was not organized”, the gaffer said.

C.K Akonnor continued, “The players didn’t know themselves because most of them were debutants and even the first time they’re playing together.

“We trained for only two days and there was lack of understanding as well. These are the few things which affected us during the game

“Mali didn’t play anything extraordinary but they were an organized side which handed them the victory”.

Coach C.K Akonnor and his team will have the chance to make amends on Monday when they take on Qatar in another international friendly match.
