Frank Nelson, a member of the Hearts of Oak has assured the fans of the club that a new assistant coach will be named before the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season start.

After Edward Nii Odoom took over as the interim coach of club following the exit of Kim Grant after the first game against Berekum Chelsea in the 2019/20 season, the club has been without an assistant gaffer.

With the new season scheduled to kick off on November 13, Mr Nelson said the lack of football activities prevented his outfit from naming assistant trainer.

According to him, a new assistant will be named soon before the season start.

"We are working on getting an assistant coach before football activities resume," he told Kumasi based Sikka FM.

"We are yet to hire an assistant coach because there are no football activities," he added.

Hearts of Oak have resumed training ahead of the new season.

The Phobians are aiming to end their 10 years trophy drought ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.
