Social Media Erupts As Arsenal Announce Ghana Star Thomas Partey Signing

Social media went gaga after Premier League side, Arsenal announced the signing of Ghana superstar, Thomas Partey.

The 27-year-old penned a five year deal with the club in a deal that will see him pocket £220,000 a week [GH¢1,651,244.36].

According to Twitter stats, Thomas Partey had over 524,000 mentions on the platform on Monday 5th October, 2020.

The Gunners triggered Partey's 45 million pounds release clause on transfer deadline day.

The deal has made Partey the most expensive Ghanaian footballer of all-time, surpassing Essien’s transfer from Lyon to Chelsea which cost the Blues 24.4 million pounds in 2005.

Partey has been handed the #18 jersey at Arsenal.
