Former Asante Kotoko forward, Eric Bekoe says the club is not ready for th 2020/21 CAF Champions League competition.
The Ghana Premier League giants have confirmed their participation in the 2020/21 CAF Champions League which kicks off in November.
The club returned to training today after six months of no football following the cancellation of the 2019/20 football season.
However, Bekoe believes that the club at this period should concentrate on building its structures and prepare well ahead of the new season instead of participating in Africa which they are not ready.
“I thought this was the time they will take time and put their house in order before going to Africa," he said.
"Going to Africa is a trap but we hope everything goes well.
"In my opinion, they should have pulled out of this year’s competition and prepare well for the next one," he added.
The team will also begin their CAF Champions League campaign in November.
