The players of Kumasi Asante Kotoko have started training at Adako Jachie today after undergoing testing for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) disease.

Football in the country is making a return after staying inactive for the past 6 months as a result of a ban place on the sport by the government to stop the spread of the Coronavirus disease.

As a part of the protocols expected to be fulfilled before clubs return to training, they have been required to conduct a Coronavirus test for all players and officials.

Kotoko on Monday and Tuesday had its players and officials testing for the deadly disease while also undergoing general medical checks.

“Players, technical staff & management members who tested for Covid-19 at Asante Kotoko have received their results and they are all negative.

“A 2nd test will be done then the 3rd one at Koforidua where the team will stay for 21 days”, the Communications Director of the club, Moses Antwi-Benefo has revealed to Oyerepa FM.

With all the Covid-19 tests coming back negative, the players commenced training at Adako Jachie today.
