Aduana Stars striker, Yahaya Mohammed has reiterated that he is not perturbed after he was left out of Black Stars squad for the friendly match next month.

The 32-year-old forward who was part of the four local players who was handed a call up to the Black Stars ahead of the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations [Afcon] doubleheader has been dropped by CK Akonnor in his latest Black Stars call up.

However, the qualifiers was postponed following the outbreak of coronavirus.

Despite the exclusion of local players, the 23 man squad for the Mali friendly encounter has been hugely welcomed by football fans in the country.

But according to the veteran striker, he is not worried over his exclusion from the Black Stars team.

I'm not surprised by my exclusion on Black Stars call-up," he told Kumasi based Pure FM.

"I would have been bold to tell CK Akonnor that I can't be part of the squad if I was called upon.

"The reason is simple, I have been off the pitch for some time now and I lack match fitness," he added.

Mohammed ended the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League which was cancelled due to coronavirus with 11 goals.

The 2020/21 football season has been scheduled to start on November 13 by the Ghana Football Association [GFA].
