Sports Minister To Commission 7 Multi-Purpose Stadiums In November

Youth and Sports Minister, Isaac Asiamah will commission seven out of the ten multi-purpose stadiums before December.

The New Patriotic Party [NPP] under the leadership of Mr Asiamah, ten multi-purpose stadiums in being constructed across the regions.

The move by the government is to help facilitate the nurturing of sporting talents and ensure sports development in the country.

Special Aid to Ghana’s Sports Minister, Kofi Asare Brako in an interview with Accra based Starr FM said the facilities were mostly at over 80 per cent completion.

“I can tell on record that work is far advanced with the 10 sports facilities and in fact, about seven of them will be completed and commissioned for use by the Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah before December this year,” he said.

The construction of these ten multi-purpose youth centres, with sporting facilities, across the country, is to facilitate nurturing of sporting talents and ensure sports development in the country and would have a 5,000 seating capacity.
