Kumasi Asante Kotoko is set to have all players and technical team members tested for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) disease today, information gathered by Modernghana Sports has revealed.
This follows the recent lifting of restrictions on football by the government to pave way for clubs to return to training to prepare for the 2020/2021 football season.
With teams required to test players and officials for the Covid-19 disease before commencing training, Asante Kotoko is according to Opemsuo Radio beginning the testing today.
Players over the weekend reported to Kumasi with the majority of them said to have arrived on Sunday, September 27, 2020.
Once the testing is done today, the team will have all the results tomorrow before the training starts on Wednesday when players are cleared of the deadly disease.
In the upcoming football season, Asante Kotoko will be competing in the CAF Champions League while challenging for laurels on the local scene as well.
