A little after the half-hour mark, Heidenheim defender Patrick Schmidt scored an own goal to double the lead for the home team.

Despite wholesale changes at halftime from the visiting team, FC St. Pauli still returned after recess to dominate.

Just a minute into the second half, Jannes Luca Wieckhoff scored a third for the team before Maximilian Dittgen netted the final goal in the 70th minute.

Though Christian Kühlwetter and Tobias Mohr netted consolation goals for Heidenheim, they still could not complete a comeback and suffered a 4-2 defeat.

On the Matchday, Daniel Kofi Kyereh lasted 87 minutes of the game and finished with a rating of 7.0 from Modernghana Sports partners SofaScore.
