Former head coach for the Black Stars of Ghana, Coach James Kwesi Appiah has offered advice to players to make it a habit to invest while actively playing.

The West African country has several cases of retired players struggling to make ends meet just because they failed to save and invest during their playing days.

Speaking to Betty Yawson in an interview, Coach Kwesi Appiah has encouraged footballers especially the young ones to try and invest to ensure they enjoy when they hang their boots.

“When we were in camp I was advising the young ones. It is important that as they are playing they should not make the mistakes that a lot of footballers make.

“It is important that they try to put up some investment now instead of buying cars and buildings”, the gaffer shared.

Coach Kwesi Appiah added, “If they can do this they will live forever in happiness”.

The experienced tactician enjoyed an illustrious career with Asante Kotoko during his playing days.

After retiring, Coach Appiah is now of the few formal players of Ghana that has made it as coaches.
