Asante Kotoko will play their 2020/21 Caf Champions League home matches at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Following the truncation of the 2019/20 football season due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, Kotoko have been given the nod to represent the country in the Caf Champions League.

The Porcupine Warriors were the winners of the Ghana Tier One Special Competition which replaced the Premier League last season.

Due to the renovation that is currently ongoing at the Kumasi Stadium, the club will resort to play their home matches at the Accra Sports Stadium.

According to the Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association [GFA], Henry Asante Twum, Kotoko will be playing their home matches in Accra.

"With the renovation at the Kumasi Sports Stadium, Kotoko will play their home matches at the Accra Sports Stadium," he told Asempa FM.

"I am sure the Club Licensing Board will deal with that and communicate to the club but what I know is that they will play at the Accra Sports Stadium," he added.

The preliminary round of matches of CAF inter-club competitions will kick-off from 27th November.

However, first registration period will start from 21st October to 10th November, 2020.
