The manager of Sam Adams, Mr. Amoako Boateng has emphasized that it is never true his client has been sacked by Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko.

In the last 48 hours, speculations in the Ghanaian media has suggested that the former Aduana Stars midfielder has been deemed surplus to requirement by Reds boss Maxwell Konadu.

Reports continued that as a result, the experienced midfielder has been sacked by the Porcupine Warriors club as they downsize their squad for the next football season.

Speaking to Ashh FM today, Amoako Boateng who is the manager for Sam Adams has stressed that the reports going around are all lies.

“Is not true that Kotoko has sacked Sam Adams because Kotoko has a 2-year contract with Sam Adams and he has played only 8 months.

“Asante Kotoko wants to play in Africa and Sam Adams is one of the players Kotoko will need in this African campaign. Coach Maxwell Konadu has not talked to me about such a decision”, the player’s manager said.

According to Amoako Boateng, Sam Adams will be of great help to Kotoko next season and hence he will be surprised if the club decides to sever ties with less than a year into his contract.
