Legal representative for the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Lawyer Naa Odoforley Nortey has said the Normalisation Committee (NC) has been vindicated by the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) ruling on Wilfred Osei Kwaku case against the FA.

The global tribunal on Tuesday, September 1 dismissed Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer's case against the GFA.

The Tema Youth FC president wanted CAS to annul the elections held last year following his disqualification on the grounds of failing to pay 10 per cent to the FA of a player he sold.

“I was not surprised about the ruling from CAS. It was clear about the disqualification handed over to him by the Normalisation Committee," Naa Odoforley told Accra based Happy FM.

“The case being contested in CAS wasn’t what was even discussed in the media.

"The decision of the Normalization Committee was affirmed which CAS agrees and that is the best part for me and I am very happy about it. We have been vindicated by our decision”, she added.

Mr Osei Palmer has admitted he accepts the ruling in good faith in a statement he released after the ruling.
