Striker Jordan Ayew has noted that his Crystal Palace outfit has set sight on finishing in the top half of the English Premier League standings at the end of the 2020/2021 season.

The Eagles enjoyed a very good campaign in the first half of last season but dropped in the standings after successive defeats in the latter part of the campaign after the Coronavirus break.

Eventually, the club based in London had to settle for the 14th position at the end of the season after picking up 43 points from 38 matches.

Speaking in a recent interview, Ghana striker Jordan Ayew has indicated that the club is eying a better finish on the standings in the upcoming season.

“Everyone wants to play in big competitions. We want to finish in the top half of the table. We hope to get a good start to the season and we’ll see how it goes.

“There haven’t been too many changes. The manager is trying to find solutions and different options, which is normal. The most important thing is to stay focused and start the new season well”, Ayew told Citi Sports.

Jordan Ayew, 28, flourished for Crystal Palace last season as he bagged 9 goals and provided 2 assists after featuring in 37 English Premier League matches.
