Ghana striker, Jordan Ayew has targeted playing in European competitions with club side, Crystal Palace.

The Eagles came close to secure a place in Europe in teh first half of the 2019/20 English Premier League season but finished at the 14th place last season, 10 points clear of the relegation zone.

Speaking in an interview with some Ghanaian sports journalists, Jordan said that finishing in the top half of the table this season would be great for Palace.

He, however, suggested that the side was good enough to make a bid for a European place stressing that they would have to start strong next season to aid them to secure a place in Europe.

“Everyone wants to play in the big competitions. We want to finish in the top half of the table," he said.

"We hope to get a good start to the season and we’ll see how it goes,” he said.

Jordan was the top scorer for the club last season.

The 28-year-old scooped the Player of the Season at the club including two other awards.
