Ghana international Baba Idrissu has been tasked to push for a move from relegated side, Real Mallorca ahead of the new football season.

The enterprsing midfielder enjoyed a scincilating season Mallorca in the 2019/20 La Liga season.

Reports in Spain suggest that Atletico Madrid are desperate for his services should Thomas Partey join Arsenal this summer.

Mohammed Gargo, a former Ghana and Hearts of Oak midfielder has urged Idrissu to push for a move away from Mallorca, to a much more recognized league.

"I think he [Baba Idrissu] should move,” he told Citi Sports.

"This is a great opportunity for him to take the next step in his career after what he did last season.

"If a club like Atletico Madrid has contacted him, then it means they’ve scored him and are aware of what he can do. He should leave.”

Baba Idrissu made 36 appearances for Mallorca last season, and has one of the highest ball recovery ratings in the La Liga.
