Former Hearts of Oak head coach, Mohammed Polo has indicated that Isaac Asiamah has performed better than Nii Lante Vanderpuye did during his tenure as the Minister for Youth, Sports, and Culture.

Nii Lante Vanderpuye, a Member of Parliament (MP) for the Odododiodoo constituency served as the Sports Minister during the final years of the erstwhile Mr. John Dramani Mahama government.

His successor, Isaac Kwame Asiamah doubles as the MP for Atwima Mponua constituency and has been Ghana’s Sports Minister since 2017.

The two have often exchanged jabs with many actors in the football circle fond of debating as to who has done better with the office.

Speaking in an interview with Akoma FM, Mohammed Polo has made his pick amongst the two politicians.

“I am struggling to see what Nii Lante did during his tenure as Sports Minister. At least I have seen development and upgrading of sports infrastructure since Asiamah took over".

“If you say Nii Lante brought structural reforms, what was the end product? For me because of the infrastructure, I will go for Asiamah”, the former Hearts of Oak dribbling magician said.
