Asante Kotoko legend, Frimpong Manso has shockingly revealed that Ghana’s dominance at FIFA youth tournaments in the past was due to age cheating.

Ghana’s U – 17 team won the U -17 World Cup in 1991 and repeated the feat in 1995.

However, Ghana has struggled to win any major tournament in recent years since the introduction of the Magnetic Resonance Imagery scan (MRI) to detect overage players.

Speaking on the 25th anniversary of Ghana’s U – 17 World Cup triumph in 1995 in Ecuador, Manso shared that age cheating was the reason why Ghana dominated youth tournaments.
