Hearts of Oak’s Nigerian striker, Danjuma Kuti has appealed to the club to try and keep hold of Joseph Esso as he eyes a formidable partnership with the attacker.

The Ghana Premier League giants signed the lanky forward in May on a two-year contract on a free transfer to give them a squad boost for the next football season.

After hearing of the release of attacker Joseph Esso, Danjuma Kuti appears to be in shock. Speaking to Oyerepa FM on the matter, the Nigeria who describes the Ghanaian forward as a very good player says Hearts of Oak should try and retain the Black Stars B talisman.

“He [Esso] is very good player. I was hoping to play alongside with him. But I saw him the other time I came where he even scored.

“He is a very strong and good supporting striker. From what I saw, he can help me score more goals. They should try to keep him if possible, I would love to play with him”, Danjuma Kuti said in his interview.

The Nigerian is currently in his home country but is expected to fly to Ghana as soon as the government gives the clear for clubs to return to training.
