Former Asante Kotoko coach, Malik Jabir believes Asante Kotoko will rock shoulders with the European clubs when new Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah is given enough time to work.
The former Phar Rangers president has been awarded a three-year deal by the board of directors of the club.
Mr Amponsah replaced George Amoako who has joined King Faisal as the club’s new CEO.
"We should not be saying we want to catch the Europeans or Arabians. People should understand that we can but it is going to take time with the new administration," Jabir told Otec FM.
"The perseverance of the management, players and the supporters will lift the club and we will see how quickly the team (Kotoko) can catch the North Africans before we think of how to beat them again," he added.
Nana Yaw Amponsah was officially unveiled on Friday in Kumasi.
