Hearts of Oak midfielder, Emmanuel Nettey says the supporters of the club are eager to see them back on the field to play again.

Domestic football in Ghana has been suspended since March 15, 2020, due to the outbreak of Covid-19.

The 2020/21 football season is scheduled to kick off in October and according to the versatile midfielder, they are itching to return to the pitch.

“What we are all praying for is for football to return so we can go back," he told Citi FM.

“No matter the format they are going to use all we are praying for is that football should just come back.

“We are itching to play and or fans are itching to watch.

“Whatever measures the FA have put in place for us we will embrace it,” he disclosed.

However, the new season will be played in Northern and Southern Zone. Matches will be played at Cape Coast, Kumasi, Accra and in Tema.

The Black Maidens and Princesses have been granted special permission to prepare for their FIFA and CAF qualifiers.
