The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has penned a congratulatory message to Eddie Nketiah following his English FA Cup triumph with Arsenal this weekend.

On Saturday, August 1, 2020, Arsenal faced off with Chelsea in the finals of this season’s English FA Cup competition at the Wembley Stadium.

The first half ended 1-1 with Christian Pulisic shooting the Blues into the lead after just 6 minutes of play. Later on the 28th minute, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang converted a penalty kick to level the score for the Gunners.

The Gabonese striker will return from the break to score the winning goal for Arsenal on the 67th minute after he was assisted by Nicolas Pepe.

On the matchday, English-born striker of Ghanaian descent, Edward Nketia was introduced on the 82nd minute as he replaced Alexandre Lacazette.

As he celebrates the English FA Cup triumph with his Arsenal side, the Ghana FA has congratulated him.

Though Eddie Nketiah has already featured for the youth national teams of England, he is still eligible to play for Ghana at the senior national team level.
