The President of the Beach Soccer Association of Ghana, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah has noted that it will be unfair to judge the performance of the new Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) due to the circumstance at the moment.

Yet to be in office for a year, the activities of Ghana FA boss Kurt E.S Okraku and his Executive Council have been hampered by the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic which has affected the entire world.

Speaking to Nigerian media house Open Life Ng, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah has explained why it won’t be fair to judge the current leaders of the football administration in Ghana.

“I think it would be unfair to judge this new executive committee because they had not yet settled when Covid-19 scuppered their game plan.

"I’m sure Kurt Okraku was still touching base with various partners and industry players in order to effectively navigate the rapidly evolving terrain”, the head of the Beach Soccer Association in Ghana said.

He continued, “The advantage that Kurt has is that football is the staple of Ghanaians because of the emotions and passion that fuels the sport. If you get it right, you are a hero or a saint but if you get it wrong, you can easily become a villain or a devil”.

Yaw Ampofo Ankrah believes that if the GFA receives the necessary support from stakeholders, they will be able to succeed.
