The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has explained that parts of the FIFA and CAF Covid-19 Relief Fund allocated to the various national teams will be used to cater for camping expenses when international assignments resume.

Due to the financial challenges presented as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, FIFA and CAF have decided to extend monetary support to their various member associations.

As a result, the Ghana FA has benefited some sum of $1.8 million dollars to supports its subsidiaries.

In a letter from the GFA revealing how the received money is being disbursed, the Black Stars, the Black Queens, as well as the various men and women’s national teams have been captured.

“The allocation for national teams is for national teams camping and some overhead costs related to the GFA Technical Center (Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence, Prampram)”, the country’s football governing body has explained.

While the Black Stars is expected to receive $17,000 as the team’s share of the FIFA and CAF Covid-19 Relief Fund, the Black Queens will earn $60,000.
