Black Stars captain, Stephen Appiah has been linked to a move back to Italy this time not with the relegated Juventus but with AS Roma.
Despite being linked with a host of English club's, Appiah's agent, Frank Trimboli has spoken of Roma's desire to sign the player.
“Roma are a big club, one of the most important in Europe and Stephen could do well there.
“After the World Cup there has been a lot of interest. Roma have made enquiries and I have spoken to them.”
Appiah has some understanding of Italian football as his career has already seen play for Udinese, Parma, Brescia and Juventus.
But Appiah, who is tied to a three-year contract to Turkish club, Fenerbahçe is only thought to favour a move to Premiership club Arsenal.
He commented on any move some weeks ago saying, “I don't want to go to Italy again. I prefer Arsenal – they are my number one choice.”
