Manhyia Palace, the seat of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has suspended certain activities of the National Circles Council of Asante Kotoko SC until the work of the Three-Member Committee is over.

The mother body of the supporters group of the ‘Reds’ have been directed to put on hold certain activities.

Three key groups of Asante Kotoko SC, the Circles, Asante Kotoko Old Players Association (AKOPA), and Kotoko Ladies lost their positions on the newly constituted Board of Directors for the Porcupines.

Personal Assistant to the Chief of Staff, Kwame Aboagye Mensah speaking to Opemsuo FM said, “Manhyia Palace has directed that certain activities of the National Circles Council should be put on hold until the Three-Member Committee finish their work because the Committee is working on institutional representation.

“We are mindful of how the Circles operate in anticipation to better the focal status of the club, but we have realized that some of the things they are embarking on conflict with the functions of Management hence the need to prorogue certain activities for their meetings, they can go for it,” he concluded.
