Otumfuo Augment Kotoko’s Board With 3 Additional Members

The Owner and Life Patron of Asante Kotoko, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has augmented the club’s Board of Directors with 3 additional members.

At a ceremony at the Manhyia Palace earlier this month, His Royal Majesty inaugurated a 9-member board of directors for the club as he assigned various targets.

Executive Chairman of the club, Dr. Kwame Kyei is serving as the chairman of the new board of directors and will be working closely with Mr. Jude Arthur as the vice-chairman.

Today, 3 new members have been added to Asante Kotoko’s board of directors, taking the total number of people serving on the board to 12.

Martin Osei Kwaku Brobbey (CEO Lexta Ghana Ltd), James Osei Brown (CEO Joshob Construction Ltd), and Kofi Amoah Abban (CEO Rigworld Group) are the new members of the board and will be present the next time a meeting is held.

The other members on the board are Kwadwo Boateng Gyamfi, Kwasi Osei Ofori, Alhaji Lamin, Lawyer Kwamena Mensah, Joseph Yaw Addo, Miss Evelyn Nsiah Asare, and Baffour Kwame Kusi.

The Board is expected to set up the Asante Kotoko SC Academy and establish a new social compact with Asanteman to provide opportunities for the development of the youth within the communities for advancement through sports.

The Board has also been tasked to provide the club with the stability of a professional administration equipped with the technological and analytical skills appropriate for the administration of a professional sporting club.

In addition, they are to ensure the club rubs shoulders with the elite clubs on the continent in the next few years.
