Ghana defender, Daniel Opare is hoping to make history with Belgian Pro Jupiler league side, Zulte Waregem.

The 29-year-old completed a move to Zulte on last Friday.

Opare signed a two-year deal as a free agent after ending his contract with Royal Antwerp.

The former Ausburg defender says he already knows about his new team and is ready to offer his maximum best to help their course.

"I played against Zulte Waregem a few times and it is a strong team with a lot of ambition. In addition, the club has a great support base. I can't wait to start the season!" Opare said.

"I want to go all out for Zulte Waregem and give everything for the team. I think we can achieve something great together."

Zulte Waregem is Opare's third club in Belgium after previous stints with Standard Liege and Royal Antwerp.

He becomes the third Ghanaian player to feature for Zulte Waregem after Ibrahim Salou and Gideon Mensah who featured for them this season on loan from Red Bull Salzburg.
