The Trust Sports Emporium which houses the Bukom Boxing Arena will be the action spot in post-Covid-19 when Ghana’s top female boxer, Yarkor Chavez takes on Diana Tursi of Switzerland.
The bout is being planned and would be promoted by Dons Promotions in collaboration with the Pro Fighting Factory Promotions.
According to representatives of Pro Fighting Factory (PFF), plans and preparations have reached an advanced stage before the coronavirus pandemic, and they had to lock down to re-plan.
However, the DFC Sports Gym where Diana Tursi is coming from say they are ready and want to come down to Africa and knock out the veteran Ghanaian boxer.
There are plans to put the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) female title at stake, and both boxers are assured of reasonable remuneration.
Other top male boxers have been scheduled to be part of the post-Covid-19 Championship which starved boxing fans cannot afford to miss.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) has put in place their own safety measures and protocols to avoid the spread of the pandemic, as they await the release by the government on contact sports to start training and competition.
