Black Stars defender Shilla's career seems to be soaring after an impressive outing in Germany.

And the Asante Kotoko player looks to be nearing a European destination sooner than expected.

Illiasu who was one of four locally based players that represented the nation at the 2006 World Cup, has had to stay on in Germany for some discussions with German club Cologne.

The player featured in three of the four matches played by the Stars instead of veteran Sammy Kuffuor.

And he is confident the experience gained from the Would Cup puts him in a good stead to attain new targets in his career.

"The feeling i had when I stepped onto the field to play the Czech game is something I can't explain.

"I had lots of encouraging words from Sammy Kuffour. He told me he had confidence in my abilities and was backing me to come out good.

"Apart from Kuffour, Appiah and Essien also told me I could do it after my display against South Korea (pre-World Cup game).

"I am happy I have come this far and know the confidence I have gained would help me in my career.

"It's all about self-confidence."
