The final competition of this year's Peugeot Challenge Cup tees off at the Tema Country Golf club this weekend after the successful staging of the final qualifiers at Tafo.

About 150 golfers are expected from all over the country to compete for the two tickets to represent Ghana at the prestigious Pro Am tournament in France.

The Peugeot Golf Challenge Cup has in it's nine-year history has produced nine different winners.

But organizers of the competition, Prestige Motors, are hoping the trend will change.

Kweku Otchere, 2001 winner of the men's final who recorded an impressive 9th position in the world event, is hoping to claim the title this year.

Three regional qualifiers are being played this year to open up the event to more golfers around the country.

Nitch Adi Darko, General manger of Prestige Motors, believes the expansion would make tomorrow's contest a lot keener.
