The Ghana Football Association GFA has petitioned the world football governing body FIFA on what it perceives as bad officiating in Ghana's game against Brazil.

The GFA cited the case of an offside goal and the refusal of the Slovak referee to whistle infringements on the Black Stars.

Ghana's Black Stars lost 3-0 to Brazil in match that has attracted international media attention with some commentaries suggesting that the second goal against Ghana was an offside goal.

GFA president, Kwesi Nyantakyi says Ghana has been on the receiving end of bad officiating through the tournament.

“The standard of officiating in this tournament hasn't been the best for the beautiful game.

“We believe Ghana like other countries have suffered from bad officiating at the World Cup.

But Kwesi Nyantakyi says Ghana would have to improve in the area of striking.

“If took our chances in this competition, we would have gone very far.

“We had begging chances and we were unable to convert them into goals that is a big area we need to consider and ensure we improve upon it.”
